Sturminster Newton Mill in the Summer a short walk from Farmstead Glamping

Sturminster Newton Mill

Recorded in the Domesday book of 1086, Sturinster Newton Mill is one of a series of ancient flour mills built along the River Stour. This is a fully working flour mill and is open to the public.

Studland Trekking Centre

With access to miles of bridleways over Ballard and Nine Barrow Downs, acres of pine forest at Rempstone. stunning views from Godlingston Heath and of course 3 miles of sandy beach at Studland Bay, this really is the place for the most amazing riding experience.

Sturminster Newton Walkabouts

A series of eight round walks all starting from Sturminster Newton and taking in the surrounding area of the Blackmore Vale. varying lengths from 1.5 to 5.5 miles long.
Some walks go right past the farm, the rest start a 15min walk away

Longleat Safari Park

As a family this is one of our favourite places to visit. There is so much to do and see. I can not reccomend hightly enough, visiting here during the winter to see The Festival of Lights... magical.

Burton Bradstock and The Jurassic Coast

A National Trust Beach, Burton Bradstock is one of the main gateways to the Jurassic Coast and the South West Coast Path. There is also a fantastic Cafe there.

One of the most famous stone archways on the world and one of my favourite places growing up. This is a great stretch of the costal path to have a walk along as well. A trip to Durdle Door is Highly recommended.

We reccomend Middle Beach. And while your there why not really spoil yourselves by visiting Pig On The Beach
