Welcome to Farmstead Glamping's Sister Space

The Heron

The Heron is a one of a kind ‘Tiny Barn’ that is owned and managed by Jon and Hannah.  Tucked away in a quiet corner of Colber Farm it is designed to give you a unique, off grid, luxury escape.

We really want you to feel like you have stepped away from the every day when you come to stay in The Heron.  Your adventure starts straight away when you leave you car behind and take a 15min walk to find this tiny barn hidden behind a seasonal wildlife pond.  Just like the Shepherds Huts of Farmstead Glamping, The Heron is completely off-grid and powered by its own solar array, meaning you can sit back, relax and enjoy the luxury in the knowledge that you are doing so in near carbon neutrality!

It was really important to us to develop a space that was wildly romantic but also family friendly.  So when we turned up at Plankbridge with a long list of demands and a couple of somewhat rudimental sketches we weren’t quite sure what the reaction would be! However Richard and his designer fully embraced all our ideas and its wonderful to see our joint vision materialise in to what is a really unique escape.

So bring the kids or don’t bring the kid’s! Have a relaxing soak in the outdoor Copper Bateau Bath or release your inner caveman cooking on the Open Fire. Hunker down on the sofa, reading your book by the fire or declare a duvet day and snuggle up to watch your favourite movie.  What ever you chose to do whilst you’re here,  you’re sure to leave feeling relaxed and recharged and ready to take on the world!
